Hi, I’m Deborah, a Christian wife, poet, and writer. My passion is writing about the profound ways God is at work in my life, from the lessons He teaches me to the faith He instills in me. I find His handprints everywhere, giving us glimpses of Heaven to make our days a little easier, kinder, and gentler.

Is our beauty routine more than our faces?
I believe so and that we can create beauty with Summer love in all that we do in our lives.
Every Summer, I share my annual Summer Beauty Tips. My beauty tips include more than our outer beauty. We can radiate this Summer by cultivating the beauty of our Body, Mind, and Soul through Self-Care, Inner Care, and Soul care.
We create beauty with Summer Love for our bodies, minds, and souls.
Just think how wonderful Summer will be, spent outdoors soaking in the sun and moving our bodies while practicing gratitude, laughing with friends, and sharing our spaces with love, hospitality, celebration, rest, and a little self-care.
This Summer, I am following these tips to cultivate beauty in my life, and I look forward to sharing them with you. Let’s embark on a summer journey filled with beauty and faith.
First up is Summer Love in the Psalms with my FREE PDF DOWNLOAD: JOURNAL THROUGH THE PSALMS THIS SUMMER.
There is nothing like a morning spent in the Psalms to refresh our souls for the day. By daily reading of the Psalms, we will fill up on the Spirit and radiate His light into the world.
I am doing a Psalm a day, journaling and reflecting, using my favorite source: blueletterbible.org. That is why I am providing you with my Journal Through the Psalms This Summer PDF, which offers my own personal tips on how to study the Bible and Journal using prayer, reflection, memorization, and journaling.
I am also incorporating Bible studies and resources that include readings, teachings, and journaling. There are many excellent resources, and these are some of my favorites:
- My other recommendations are: “Spurgeon and the PSALMS” (Thomas Nelson Bibles, 2022, NKJV translation).
- Candace Cofer’s The Good Podcast Summer in the Psalms
- Theresa M. Miller’s “The Posture of Victory: Finding True Peace Amidst Our Everyday Battles”
- Lauren Mitchell’s “Steadfast Through Psalm: Becoming a Woman After God’s Own Heart.“
By daily soaking in the Psalms, we immerse our souls in beautiful poetry and love, which enhances our inner beauty and radiance.
I think the most important thing about beauty is to know that you are already beautiful and wonderfully made by God, which brings us to this lovely verse from Psalm 139:14:
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
I invite you to begin your Summer Beauty routine by soaking in the Psalms. Set up a comfortable space with your Bible, journal, pen, and any other items you prefer to use. Some people like music and a favorite beverage. For me, I want to have the window open, with coffee and quiet.
Pray and thank God for the Psalms, asking Him to fill you with His Word and give you new understanding and insights. I encourage you to share in the comments a favorite Psalm and Bible study or resource that is impacting your life. Feel free to use my new free resource, Journal Through The Psalms this Summer.
Smiles & love, wonderfully made,

This is lovely, Deborah! I subscribed. ? My favorite Psalm is probably the one you quoted but there are others depending on the situation. For example, I love Psalm 91 at bedtime (I will listen to it read while I sleep). Anyway, I have the Inspire Illustrating Bible that I love. It helps me meditate on the Scriptures as I illustrate the pages. It is so fun and I look forward to it every day. ???
Bless and thank you!
