28 Days of Prayer-Poems for Faith, Spiritual Growth & Life
Today is my twenty-first post for the #write28days challenge, where I will write throughout this February. Each post is from an assigned keyword, and today’s word is “adapt” Enjoy my new prayer poem, “Adapt to New Things.”

When we worry about changes and transitions, we often feel overwhelmed. The solution is to adapt to God’s new thing in your life.
Oh, Heavenly Father,
impart insight and clarity
over the changes
and transitions
that overwhelms us
You are our solution
as we adapt to the
new things you are doing
While You transform us,
our timid hearts grow
a little more each day
Yes, Your work has begun
Oh, change our ways
into Your likeness,
thereby adapting
and conforming,
for the most glorious thing
is happening as You
turn us into a new thing
But what if we worry
about being suitable
Then we clasp tightly
to Your promises
Since you say, “do not fear
and have good courage”
For You create a way
even in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert
Therefore, dear friends,
be with good courage
Because Our, God
Is still in control
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Isaiah 43:19 KJV
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Joshua 1:9 KJV

It’s funny that sometimes I LOVE when God does a new thing, but other times I’m really annoyed by it. lol. But you’re right that the key is to adapt to what God is doing. Trusting that God is always with me in the change is huge.
I think that happens often and I just have to catch myself and go from faith to trust.
