Today is my sixteenth post for the #write28days challenge, where I will write throughout this February. Each post is from an assigned keyword, and today’s word is “voice.” Enjoy my new prayer poem, “Be A Holy Voice.”

Be A Holy Voice

“Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God Almighty,”
sing multitudes of heavenly Angels
Worshipping God whose glory
reigns over the earth and all

Oh, Father of lights, send heavenly songs
Voices in adoration praising our Creator
Whether at home singing my own,
in church with traditional hymns,
or listening to music on the radio station

Now, just let me be like the Angels –
The greatest choir in heaven

Oh, Lord, let my words be pleasing to You
While singing, worshipping, or praying

Most important, tune my ears
To Your voice, thoughts, and ways
Also, my day to spend in devotion
and loving crying pleas

Again, a gentle conversation
before the throne of grace
because all the days of my life
you are with me my Savior
Who listens and speaks
then provides all I need

Therefore, spending all the days
of my life with you in
perfect and glorious harmony

Since when I praise, you listen
Whilst I worship, you smile
Then, I kneel and You answer

Hence my voice and Your voice – together

And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

Isaiah 6:3 KJV

Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

Psalms 130:2

  1. I have a weak singing voice, but I love to lift it in praise to my God. Especially in church where it’s carried along by stronger voices. A metaphor for for the church comm.
