I think that’s one reason why all of these nameless women’s stories made it into the Bible. Because we don’t know their names, but it’s their stories that continue to speak to us. Paige Allen #Heknownsyournamebook #womanofthegospel #known

The Behold-Her Beauty Podcast is a sacred space for the soul moving from broken to beloved. Together, we seek God’s beauty in the everyday and make room for peace in the mess of life. Through poetry, heart-to-heart conversations, and the Son’s renewing warmth, we watch our regrets become seeds of hope as we embrace our identity as God’s beautiful daughters.
Read, listen, and soar. 🕊️✨
Giving a voice to the journey from broken to beloved. 🕊️ Today I am sharing a special episode of Behold-Her Beauty Podcast with author, Sarah Freymuthto discuss her book, All the Hard Things: 50 Days Through the Valley.
Also join the conversation by subscribing, leaving a review, and sharing your thoughts in the comments. We would love it if you would leave a ❤️ to let us know you’re reading and listening!
Sarah is the author of All the Hard Things: 50 Days Through the Valley, a devotional journey shaped by her own experiences of long COVID, anxiety, depression, and the repeated hardships that quietly reshape a life.
In our conversation, she opens up about what it means to find God’s presence not after the hard things—but in the middle of them. Through her story, we talk about what it looks like to anchor identity in Christ when everything else feels uncertain, and how God often speaks through unexpected “trail markers” of hope—like friendships, nature, music, and even the small reminders we almost overlook.
We also talk about beauty, soul care, and what it means to believe God is still good when life feels heavy.
If you’ve ever found yourself in a season where the “valley” feels long or confusing, this conversation will gently meet you there.
Because sometimes hope doesn’t arrive as a rescue from the valley—but as a companion within it.
The episode closes with a beautiful heartfelt prayer from Sarah to guide you through your week.

My value comes from my relationship with God.
Paige Allen
We began to see ourselves through the lens of, what Jesus is doing and how he’s responding to the women.
Paige Allen
If anyone had a reason to be in a rush, it was Jesus, but he didn’t. He took his time. He didn’t see interruptions as a nuisance, but he saw them as an opportunity to speak value and bring healing to people who needed it. And that’s something I think, though, believers were called to do as well.
Paige Allen
I want to have a Christlike response but it’s hard. It’s just a constant staying as sensitive as we can to the voice of the Holy Spirit.
Paige Allen
There was a season when I almost felt like my prayers were like a ceiling over my head, you know, and they would bounce off the ceiling and come back down. But actually, it was a season when God was so close.
Paige Allen
What then happens is that because we are his creations, as we get to know him, it really informs us about who we are. So all of a sudden, when I get to know Jesus as my shepherd, then I discover, Oh, I am a sheep.
Paige Allen
It’s hard on the best of days to really believe sometimes that I’m secure. I’m good. You know? But when the fire is raging, and the water is rising, and we feel so helpless. I think all the more that’s when we desperately need to know that he has us and what I love about Jesus.
Paige Allen
As soon as we call out, “help”, like that’s all we have to do. Itt doesn’t have to be this, you know, grandiose prayer.
Paige Allen
I believe that with my whole heart. He will send things away to say, I am with you. You’re still walking through this fire but will not be burned. I am with you. It is painful. I know, but I am with you, and you are going through it.
Paige Allen
I think that’s one reason all of these nameless women’s stories made it into the Bible. Because we don’t know their names, but it’s their stories that continue to speak to us.
Paige Allen
I think there’s something really powerful, too when we get over having our name known, and we’re more focused on just making his name now,
