“BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE OF OUR BEHOLDER” SERIES
The Behold-Her Beauty blog series helps women see themselves as God’s beautiful daughters.
You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you.” Song of Solomon 4:9 NIV
Join the Beholder Beauty movement –
God finds no flaw in us – then why do we?
This is a space where we share our hopes, dreams, struggles, laughs, and tears. We discuss what it is like to feel uncomfortable, awkward, embarrassed, and shameful. Because sometimes we are confused about how we look, how others see us, and even how God sees us.
Often women and teens struggle with their appearance and self-perception, and feel lonely, passed over, or forgotten. Therefore, Beauty in the Eye of our Beholder Series wants women to know that they are not alone – they are God’s masterpieces—His expression of beauty.
In this series, we explore Beauty and Faith. Where we spotlight inner beauty, virtuous women, the Proverbs 31-woman, unfiltered beauty, and God-given beauty. And together, let’s open up the conversation and collect stories of what it means to be beautiful in the eyes of God.
Also, we will shine a light on the dark hallways of comparison, body image disorders, vanity, coveting, jealousy, competition, and shame.
We hope that women and teens embrace their God-given beauty because there is nothing like receiving peace and joy as daughters of Christ.

Behold-Her Beauty presents “Redefining Beauty” with Melissa Louise Johnson
Scroll down and enter Melissa’s signed book give away of “Soul-Deep Beauty: Fighting for Our True Worth in a World Demanding Flawless.”
Welcome to Behold-Her Beauty where we talk about all things Beauty. Today, my guest is Melissa Louise Johnson, author of “Soul-Deep Beauty: Fighting for Our True Worth in a World Demanding Flawless” and we are discussing redefining beauty. Melissa’s journey through an eating and exercise disorder opened her eyes to the fact that the beauty and diet industry sells us a narrative that we are flawed and, therefore, need to buy their products. But also, on a spiritual level, the enemy uses shame to keep us from becoming who God made us to be. Namely, His beautiful daughters who are invited to join their Creator as He transforms the fallen into His Beauty. How do we trade in the broken beauty culture for beauty defined by God?

BOOK GIVEAWAY for “Soul-Deep Beauty: Fighting for Our True Worth in a World Demanding Flawless” by Melissa L. Johnson
“Soul-Deep Beauty: Fighting for Our True Worth in a World Demanding Flawless” exposes the lies of cultural beauty standards and how we strive for a broken kind of beauty that leaves us feeling not good enough.
Melissa is a marriage and family therapist who, through her battle with an eating disorder, saw that she was chasing broken beauty, almost destroying her.
She discovered that true, soul-deep beauty is not impossible- it abounds in and around us.
By reading this book, you will uncover hidden, damaged cultural lies about beauty, reconnect with God, in whose image you are made, walk away from shame and striving, and love yourself and others unconditionally.
Melissa founded Impossible Beauty, a blog and podcast dedicated to redefining beauty as “the life of God at work in us and among us.”
