NEW BOOKS ALL READ AND REVIEWED BY DEBORAH WITH HIGH RATING.
I was excited to get this book as I am a fan of Kimberly Phinney’s writing. But nothing could have prepared me for the beauty and depth of “Of Wings & Dirt.” You’ll want your copy of this beautiful book of Kimberly’s poetry—writing to soothe your aching souls, give you hope when you feel under, and see Jesus’s healing in her precious life and ours. This book will have you shedding tears, but also dancing with joy through Kimberly’s raw and honest words of love—her questioning, thinking and profound enlightenments. A book to keep close by.
Exalted Ground: Poems of Praise and Lament for the Living by Kimberly Phinney ?will sing poetry and praise into your heart. This book is beautifully written and tender as we go along with Kimberly and her family navigating chronic illness, faith, and love. I found myself crying yet laughing at times, and isn’t that the tender, lovely tension of this life?
The Mother Tree by Chelsea Fraser My rating: 5 of 5 stars Pick up on AMAZON
Chelsea Fraser’s poetry invited me into her captivating world, full of joy and the sorrows that life can bring. This book is stunningly beautiful, like an ode to weary hearts, showing us the joy of our Creator and His creations. Her language is universal as it applies to much of what we all go through as humans. I love trees so much, and so does Chelsea. What is unique is how she applies trees to everyday life and motherhood and shows us our good God. Come dream with Chelsea; you’ll find you like it there with her and the Mother Tree. ?All The Things I Say to God: Learning to Pray Anytime, Anywhere by Tanner Olson? is the sweetest children’s book. It’s beautifully written and illustrated. In this book, our little ones will discover the joy of prayer with God, a lesson that will benefit them for a lifetime. It’s a perfect gift for the favorite child in your life.
?Holy Plot Twists: God is Still Writing Your Story by Amanda Schaefer? is a beautiful and passionate book that had me in awe of God’s stunning plan for her. She doesn’t hold back, showing us who she was before Christ so we can fully appreciate the depth of His impact. This book is a journey into God’s lovingly orchestrated holy plot twist and how He is still writing our story.
?You’re Not Too Late: Trusting God’s Timing in a Hurry-Up World by Rebecca George? is inspirational and encouraging. We always are waiting for something, wondering if we are too late. Rebecca’s book powerfully reminds us that our lives are in the hands of our Creator, who writes the best stories and plans. I love the layout of this book, which invited me to go deeper in the work that needs to be done to trust God.
I am in the process of reading these books, and I will leave a review soon
