I know that I can be still because I know God is here, all around me. Jesus gives the most beautiful promise that if we abide in Him, we shall see the truth, and the truth shall set us free. Therefore, we can be still in the truth of being free, knowing that Jesus is our Lord and Savior. We know who our God is because He shows up every morning with His tender loving kindness. Then we can sing and dance in His love, His way, and words. Because we belong to our Abba, our One, we are His beloved, and we know this. We know that we are safe and secure through the valleys and mountains as He makes us lie down in green pastures and leads us to still waters. We know the pure love of Jesus.

Scriptures to be still in –
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
Psalms 46:10
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:31-32
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
Psalms 23
He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.

I love these verses. I think we often forget that we are to abide in Christ!
Cindy, so important to abide in Christ.
Just stay put and sit by God,
and do not tap your toes.
Being still may seem quite odd,
but youse have got to knows
that He ain’t gonna over-ride
your inner chuffing thought.
It’s not something you can hide,
and you really ought
to turn it all unto His care,
let your brain go clear
like still pond under summer air,
reflected clouds so near,
painted with a Monet-brush,
something you can almost touch.
Thank you – love this!
Just reading these verses helps me be still.
Amen Barbara!
