Change in a Changing World

Accepting Jesus as your Savior brings solace in an ever-changing world. Therefore, why not change in a changing world?

Today is my twenty-fifth post for the #write28days challenge, which I will write throughout this February. Each post is from an assigned keyword, and today’s word is “changing” Enjoy my new prayer poem, “Change in a Changing World.”

Change in a Changing World

I had a vision of
what I thought life was
but then I lost it
as I awoke
from a deep sleep

For Christ came to me
and changed my world

Changing, Oh changing,
Yes, I am changing
Now restored
into a new creation

Oh, dear Father
who wakes us
from fallen sleep
I will cling to You
in these changing times
for you are my rock
my salvation

Through ebb and flow
When in valley and mountain
There you are, my Shepherd

Though the storm is upon us
shattering lives, breaking hearts
Today I shall fear no evil
for You are my protector

But in the midst of
daily living
when evil lurks to
destroy we know
Who to turn to

Though we walk
in the shadow
of the valley of death
we fear no evil
because the Lord
our God is with us

Hence the Lord
establishes kings
and kingdoms
and He taketh them away

You oh glorious Lord
I pray for peace in
those of authority
for it is pleasing to you

I pray for repentance of sin
with God in our hearts
For we belong to Jesus

Therefore, why not change
in a changing world

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed

1 Corinthians 15 KJV:51

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Psalm 23:1-4 KJV
