God made us stewards of His creations. We succeed when creating a mindful environment, tending to our homes and the gardens of the world.
28 Days of Prayer-Poems for Faith, Spiritual Growth & Life
Today is my twenty-third post for the #write28days challenge, which I will write throughout this February. Each post is from an assigned keyword, and today’s word is “environment” Enjoy my new prayer poem, “Creating a Mindful Environment.”

Dear Heavenly Father,
You called into being Light
Separating from darkness
Bringing the evening
And then the morning
You saw that it was good
You created the oceans
With hands forming dry land
Then fish in the sea
And birds in the sky
Also, animals and creatures
All over the land
You breathed life into us
In a beautiful garden
To cultivate while
carefully tending
The earth is Yours
And everything in it
And all who live in it
You are glorious
And we rejoice!
Oh God, you care for us
And we ought to be
good stewards of the earth
of this flowing garden
Mindful of our environment
Love like God, because He first loved us
Because we were made in His image
Because He breathed
The breath of life into us
Because we are His beloved
And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
Genesis 2:15 KJV
A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
Proverbs 12:10 KJV
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Genesis 1:26 KJV

What a beautiful poem. It’s so important to steward things as Christians–especially God’s creation!
Thank you Anita. It is wonderful that He entrusted us with this.
