Lifelines of words for you, my soul…
Imagine, writing a letter to yourself to inspire, encourage, and lead you to be the daughter God created you to be. This ‘Dear Me’ letter came from a prompt from Ann Voskamp where she first wrote her letter and then encouraged others too. During my summer journaling, I enjoyed writing this letter, and friends, I hope you write one too. One lovely friend on Instagram compared it to David encouraging himself in the Lord.

Dear Me, Lifelines of Words for You, My Soul,
First, you have done well.
Sometimes it seems hard on the journey of life. Remember, you are not alone.
Know that God loves you.
Even when you drift, slide, and hide.
That when He awakens you early morning and says, follow me—one step at a time. Follow Him.
Always start the day in communion with your Abba; He knows what you need best.
Bring every cry, tear, and plea before Him. Then Rest in His peace.
Be ready for the valley and mountain, for God has prepared you. Replace fear with love.
Always remember God brings the increase – your job is to show up daily. So, no more striving that leaves you only wound up. Remember the peace in Jesus.
Also, God’s promises are for you too.
That out in awe of nature, life, and breathtaking moments, He sings to you.
Be kind, gentle, and patient. Pour your heart of Jesus into the lost, the needy, the sorrowful.
Look for the holy and spectacular everywhere.
Be ready to jump, twirl, and soar with the Creator to magnificent heights, daily ordinary, and the times when there are no words.
Be the beautiful daughter of God.
Lovely with pure gentle beauty full of God’s grace.
Smiles & Blessings, Deborah

This is so beautiful, Deborah! I appreciate these encouraging words today, “Be ready to jump, twirl, and soar with the Creator to magnificent heights, daily ordinary, and the times when there are no words. Be the beautiful daughter of God.”
Lisa, Thank you for your encouraging words. Much love.
I did something like this a few years ago, but it was a prompt for a specific year. It’s a neat idea to frame Scriptural truth as instruction to ourselves.
Barbara, thank you. I would love to read yours. Please share.
This. Is. Beautiful. So. So. Beautiful.
I’m bookmarking this.??
Debby, your words are a blessing – thank you!
What an amazing life giving writing prompt Deborah. Your words resonated with me. I will have to try this myself!
Donna, thank you and yes it really is nice. This is the link to where the prompt came from https://annvoskamp.com/2022/07/dear-me-lines-to-the-person-i-want-to-be/.
I love the grace and lovingkindness here! If we can’t lend that to ourselves it’s hard to authentically share these gifts with others.
So very nice meeting you today, Deborah!
Hi Lisa, thank you for reading and agree! Nice meeting you too.?
