Do not entrap your heart – find shelter in our defender protector God. Because who can be against us when we have God?

Welcome! This is my fifteenth post for the February #write28days challenge. Today’s word is “entrap”. Enjoy my new prayer poem “Do Not Entrap Your Heart”.

Do not entrap your heart - find shelter in our defender protector God. Because who can be against us when we have God?

We may need safety from those that seek to entrap us. Likewise, protection from tangling ourselves with iniquities. Do not entrap your heart – find shelter in our defender protector God. Because who can be against us when we have God?

Dearest Heavenly Father,
Thank You for your loving kindness
Oh, I need saving grace and love
Also, a shield from those who seek to cause ruin,
and from myself who creates confusion

Because you know our quest and suffering
You understand when someone strikes harm
When there is gossip, defamation, and hurt
So, preservation from those who seek to entrap

Too, deliverance from wickedness trapping our soul
Entangled in robes of deception, untruths, and sin

Oh Lord, you are pure and full of love
But that did not stop the wicked schemes,
Full of deceit, setting forth to entrap

You who knew entrapment take our hand
leading through troublesome adversaries
full of malice and distraction

For dear ones, do not entrap your heart
Find shelter in our defender protector God,
our rock, refuge, and strength

Because who can be against us when we have God?

Our Rock, Our Strength

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:31 KJV

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Psalms 46:1 KJV

Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great. Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.

Psalms 18:35-36
