Elegance of God’s Song
You sing to my heart
There is no flaw
When the world
may say otherwise
Wherever clothed with
strength and dignity
I am adorned with You
My elegance
comes from you
Oh, heavenly Father
Let my beauty come
from the heart
Beauty of a gentle
And quiet spirit
Precious in Your sight
Oh, take away any vanity
that seeks to snare
and trap
With comparisons
and jealous envies
Let me be content
with my appearance
thus, my beauty flowing
from the inside out
Moreover, looking my best
Doing my best
Being my best
Not consumed
with vanity
Adorn my heart with
gentleness and kindness
Radiating from inside
Let the light of Jesus
shine through me
With a beautiful glow
surpassing all the
limitations of
outward beauty
Oh, give me a heart
That loves you, Lord
Where love is elegance
yes, a charity of kindness
For elegance
is grace and beauty
in motion
Refined and polished
and a gift from God
