God-given glimpses and blessings are everywhere if we look and see. One of the best ways to do this is by praising God’s majesty in stillness.

As we enter February, let us look and see God-given glimpses and blessings. They are everywhere if we LOOK. And we will SEE them when we look. The Blog during January focused on cultivating gratitude for our dear LORD. In February, we will be looking at and seeing God’s blessings by PRAISING GOD. One of the best ways to do this is in STILLNESS. When we practice stillness, we create more time. Time to relish, savor, taste, expand, and breathe. When we look and see, we are intentionally looking and thereby seeing all the beauty and wonder God has placed explicitly for us – praising God in stillness.

STILLNESS is important for instruction.
Be still, and know that I am God;
Psalm 46:10 NKJV
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!
God commands us to be still, to SURRENDER to Him, and recognize He is the sovereign King of all. Recognize His goodness, glory, and majesty.
The way to peace within the chaotic and turbulent world is through RESTING in the one true God who is exalted among the nations, in all the earth.

God meets us in our struggles as we still. And in these precious moments, offers rescue.
Seeing God’s first hints at Spring brings HOPE into my heart. This is no accident. God knew I needed His insight and reminder of Spring and hope leading to Jesus. Through the seasons, we see God’s restoration.
A budding bloom is like an eye that opens up, waking from a deep sleep. When we become believers, it is much like that – waking from a dream, a slumber, a fog, darkness to light, beauty, breath, life, majesty!
Look and see God-given glimpses and blessings in the first bloom and spectacular sky. Although, we may be waiting in the grey, mist overlay, dense shadowy haze, and banks of snow. And trees may seem bare, the wind may snap, and temperatures dare and dance.
But in this still, quiet wait, excitement is brewing as Winter remarkably and maybe silently begins transforming. Hope is coming.
While Winter prepares to throw off her coat, God gives me a bloom and a brilliant sky to preview His upcoming transformation of the divine clockwork of His grand design. To hold fast to His love in Winter.
Is it possible to savor the wait in Winter? Is it easier when we know hope is coming?
Counting my blessings helps me to slow down and surrender to stillness praising God for His greatness.

From my gratitude list:
Rain dumps and prayers thanking God for safe travel.
Our first daffodil blooms, the honeysuckle bush comes alive and the sky tonight is brilliant.
Refuge with God after tempers fly.
Fellowship, guitars, the melody of music notes, and friendship.
Dear friends, what is on your gratitude list? How are you praising God? And what are your thoughts on stillness?

Praising God in stillness brings beautiful reflections from both our heart and our mind, Deborah, especially after cultivating our soil with thankfulness and gratitude. LHC #19&20
Lisa, I love how you put this into words. I feel much calmer, able, and at peace when I spend time with God.
Thanks for the reminder to be still. I’ve been so busy lately that I’ve forgotten the importance of just being still and observing surroundings, thanking God for His many blessings in the midst of trials. I used to practice 10 minutes of stillness a day and I miss it. I hope to start again. Blessings to you! I found you on the Blogger Voices Network on FB.
Gayl, that is why God put this on my heart – to remedy my business too. I am finding there is always time for stillness. I hope you start again too and thanks for finding me.
This was a great post! I needed this reminder about the importance of stillness.
Kristin, I am happy you found encouragement here.
I just love you how you end this with the idea that hope is coming!
Kristen, thank you. I believe God put that in my heart for raining, grey and possible snow days between now and then.
Your mention of rest and stillness reminds me of how Jesus often withdrew from the crowds to pray. That is a habit I know I could cultivate more. Thanks for the reminder to be still!
Rebecca, I love that this reminds you of Jesus. I see it, too, now. His beautiful is that! Our wonderful Savior always teaching us.?
Deborah, stillness feeds my soul, stillness is important for instruction, for only then can we hear His often still, small voice!
Donna, this is so true. I love being still with Him.
Debbie, this is beautiful. You summed up pretty much what I’ve been feeling lately. Thanks for such an encouraging message here.
Visiting today from #TellHisStory
Paula, thank you. I am so happy it encouraged you. And you have blessed me today.
