My eyes opened early in the morning as waves of worry overwhelmed me. Once again, I was consumed with balancing my roles and tasks when God reminded me that He never intended for me to do it on my own. Thankfully, God tucks away His Beautiful everywhere.
Change before our very eyes –
The season began its full dance choreographed so spectacularly – with the hues changing colors right before my very eyes, the green foliage transforming into reds and gold, and even our clothing followed as I saw the first glimpses of plaids, flannels, and long dresses of cream and soft orange.
Pumpkin spice was everywhere, and my husband asked me to make a fall potpourri and I found www.thepioneerwoman.com’s recipe of apples, cinnamon, and vanilla. And giant burley spiders moved in spinning cathedralic webs, intricate and beautiful. Daily, my husband moved the orb weavers’ spider silk so we or the delivery man didn’t walk into them.

A change to a harvest wreath and fall flags with puppies and pumpkins decorated the yard. The weather cools with the most beautiful blue skies and lower humidity. And I wore my first pair of jeans since Spring.
There is a season –
To everything there is a season,
Ecclesistes 3:1 NKJV
A time for every purpose under heaven:
There is nostalgia here for some knowns, but plenty of unknowns exist. But through the changing of the seasons, God is showing me that although life changes and circumstances change, He is never changing, and believe me, I will need this promise to cling to.

But somewhere amid all those fluffy, delightful loves, a sin spikes like jealousy or spite or a harsh word I say disfiguring my beauty, and an old haunting voice. I collapse under the weight of my burden onto my knees, where the holy Father gently relieves me, washing away the ugly, the sin, the thorns, the worries, the doubt.
I became overwhelmed, anxious, and afraid because I wanted to be a good steward of what God has given me – a wife, my home, friends, neighbors, my tasks, my writing – all that God gives me to do.
God’s grace –
God kindly and gently reminds me – Deborah, you are not strong, capable, or enough on your own – But I am. Plus, I tuck beautiful everywhere for you. Did I not bless you this morning? Provide for you? Bring you through your past trials?
The wonderful thing is God never asked me to live life on my own. And He tucks away beautiful blessings everywhere for me. It is easy to forget, which is why remembering is so important. Remember all that God has done, is doing, and will do. I turned to the Bible and read of His faithfulness. In my journal, I penned dates of prayers and promises answered by God – Oh yes, He is so faithful.
Your love, LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.
Psalms 36:5 NKJV
As I turned my eyes and heart to Him, His compassion and love soothed my jittery soul. Hushed in the darkness, blue moonlight escaping into the bedroom, my husband’s embrace, I turn my heart to Jesus, knowing that I am not alone -. My strength, capability, worthiness, and value are all in Jesus, not myself.

So, as I often do, I hand over everything to Jesus, for I am weak, but He is strong. He leads, and I follow.
We are enough –
My friends, if you are feeling overwhelmed, especially as the season changes, with all the excitement and expectations, the knowns and unknowns – know that we have the greatest KNOWN – our God, for He is sovereign, in control, for us, and with us and more than capable. We are always enough with God.
Now is the time to remember all that God does – count your blessings, praise God, rejoice – you will be pleasantly surprised to see all the beautiful He has especially tucked away for you.
When we are one with God, our lives are filled with His peace and joy and we say goodbye to overwhelm, chaos, and fear.
Thank you, Father, for your Holy Word – to be One with you – because in your shelter, I live in peace and joy, and you give me the strength to live a happy life, rejoicing in all I do – thank you, Father! In Jesus’s name, Amen.
Remember, you are Beautiful!

A beautiful reminder for us to abide in His love, to rest in His embrace and faithfulness, and to enjoy all the beautiful gifts of beauty He places before us each day, Deborah.
Hi Lisa, I know God places blessings everywhere and it is only when I take my eyes off Him that I forget and start fretting. I am so thankful for God”s grace and I am keeping my eyes fixed on Him. Thank you for reading.
This >> “But through the changing of the seasons, God is showing me that although life changes and circumstances change, He is never changing, and believe me, I will need this promise to cling to.” We need the promise to hold onto each day. He never changes and He is always with us. Every day, in every season. Thank you for reminding me this morning!
Joanne, absolutely- I can’t make it without this promise, without Him. Thank you for reading and blessings to you.
This post reminded me of so many of the psalms where the writers go back and forth between their own struggles and God’s faithfulness. What a beautiful reminder you penned for us!
Donna, I hadn’t thought of that and I love the Psalms for they being me so much comfort amd understanding. Thank you for reading and blessings to you.
