#fiveminutefriday
This is from the community of #Fiveminutefriday: keyword “heavy”. How heavy was the Cross that Jesus carried? Our burdens are never too heavy for our mighty Lord and Savior.

Heavy times, heavy words, heavy ways. How heavy was the Cross that Jesus carried? How heavy the burden of sin that He took upon Him? That same resurrection power that raised our dear Lord Savor is available to each of us to lift us from our heavy burdens.
Lately, I have awakened from sleep with anxiety. Hopes and plans I thought were one thing turned out to be another. I suppose God is keeping me guessing. But I know He loves me and has the greatest plan for my life.
I have been meditating on Isaiah 43:1 “But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.”
So, when my days get heavy from day-to-day things and from world events and tragedies, I can know that I am His.
But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.

so good to know that the same power that conquered sin and death is available to carry us through hard times.

Amen! Thanks for stopping by KymPossible
Deborah, that verse has been life-changing for me too over the last few months. And how heavy indeed was the cross, in so many ways. Thanks for your thoughts. Your FMF neighbour at #31 this week.
Riverkath, thank you stopping by. Indeed! It is so beautiful that God calls us by our name – we are His!
