Keeping Our Thoughts on Things Above & Serenity in the Trees
As you reach into the sky
So quiet, so still
A shelter in place
Not a stirring movement from you today
But you are alive
I layout on my deck looking into the sky
You shoot from here to there, and the beautiful blue shows through
Thank you, God, for these trees and serenity
Viewing life from a lounge chair is quite the experience!
We receive encouragement by spending time in nature – the splendor and grace in a tree, a flower, an animal, the ocean, the sky and clouds, the rain – such intricate overwhelming beauty giving peace, wonder, love, and sheer joy.
We find comfort and inspiration in honest, heartfelt conversations full of truths, love, some tears, and laughter.
You will find God’s awesome encouragement throughout the Bible. Therefore, let us find wonder and awe in the beauty of life. Above all, keeping our thoughts, filling our minds, on things above, the holy and acceptable things of God. As Apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:18:
Meditate on These Things
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Phillipians 4:18
