ABOUT DEBORAH
Deborah Rutherford, a Christian author, spoken-word poet, and captivating storyteller, is someone who can genuinely connect with women and girls through her own journey. Her experiences, from being a redeemed prodigal daughter to her years in the entertainment industry. Her work as a makeup artist, musician, spoken-word poet, and writer, as well as the highlight of her life, accepting Jesus as her Savior, are all relatable experiences that create a personal connection with her audience, making them feel understood and connected.
She shares her story for God’s glory from a place of grace rather than shame. From the unexpected turns and twists, Deborah saw her Savior’s hands through it all. Her passion is to inspire her people to embrace God’s plan for their lives and to know that no matter what their story, it isn’t over, ruined, or lost. Our God is a good God who writes beautiful stories.
Whether leading a workshop, sharing a poem, or speaking at chapel or a retreat, Deborah is dedicated to creating a nurturing and empowering space for girls and women. Her workshops are not just about discussing and reflecting on beauty and faith , but also about finding strength in shared experiences, laughter, and deepening their faith. Her words, addressing the real challenges and difficulties girls and women face, guide them back to God with compassion and love, leaving them feeling supported and uplifted.
Deborah is the author of multiple books, including “Unexpected Blessings: 40 Days of Discovering God’s Best. She is the creator of Behold-Her Beauty Blog and Podcast, which helps girls and women see themselves as God’s beautiful daughters, made in His image, wonderfully made (Psalm 139).
