Nothing can keep Spring from bursting forth, not even the last freeze where temperatures drop, and frost needs to be scraped off car windows. Spring is here – looking toward the cross, we see nothing could keep our Savior from bursting out of the grave and being resurrected into eternity with God.
As I look toward the cross, I know that the dormant season is bringing forth new life, new beginning, and new love. #Spring #Resurrectionsunday #Easter #Poetry

Join me in celebrating my “Spring in My New Heart” Poem.
Spring in My New Heart
I see blossoms
on the shrubs,
outside my window.
Oh, a long walk does take
in the beauty of this season.
I feel like a seed
pushing my way
through the world.
Oh, dear Father,
grow me well in this day,
for I see wind blowing.
As the flag flaps
and trees bend,
the pollen drops.
Yet sunshine beckons me
as the slow mist of rain departs.
Outside I soak
in your wonderfulness.
A little timid, I feel, I must admit.
But yes, Spring is here,
and growth has come,
some slow, some painful, some delightful.
As I look toward the cross,
I know that the dormant season
is bringing forth new life,
new beginning,
new love.
Carrying Jesus in my heart,
the new heart,
He gave me.
This new heart,
new each day,
by the Word.

Deborah, this post was such a blessing to read. I have spent time today thinking about Easter, the Cross, reading Scriptures, and pulling old books off the shelves to read thoughts on Easter. You are so right, nothing could have kept our Savior from bursting forth into life and giving us new life. Oh the beauty and wonder of that day!
Joanne, I love that you are doing that. I am reading Matthew through and finding so much as we look toward the Cross.
