Run sweet women of joy from the Angel’s good news at the tomb to the glorious feet of Jesus, turning deep sorrow into joy. Pray, and surrender to the wonder that can only happen with our God.

Hearts were broken; He was gone. Oh, the suffering, He was gone. They waited in their sorrow, wondering how this could happen. They didn’t understand. The room seemed to suffocate them as they sank into agony.
But then, three days later, the women went to His tomb to care for Him, but His body was gone. An Angel said why are you crying? He has risen.
When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, so that they might come and anoint Him. Mark 16:1 (NASB)
Oh, run sweet joy, women of God, to see your lovely Savior. Behold Him. From the tomb, you came where the Angel told you the good news: He has Risen.

He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying. Matthew 28:6 (NASB)
And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. Mark 16:6
Oh, run sweet women of joy from the Angel’s good news at the tomb to the glorious feet of Jesus, turning deep sorrow into joy.
And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. Matthew 28:8 KJV
Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. Mark 16:9 NKJV
Spring Into Joy –
Imagine running to tell the disciples, and then who do you run into but Jesus himself? Oh, sweet women of God, how precious you are to have seen Him. Your sorrow sprang into joy, opening my heart too.

Yes, He has Risen.
Jesus still is risen because after he ascended into heaven, he reigns at the right hand of God.

Praying and surrender to the wonder –
This Holy Week, I read, pray, and surrender to the wonder that can only happen with our God. For our precious lovely spotless Savior to be here in the flesh to ride into dusty Jerusalem, palms branches and cloaks with glees of ecstatic joy crying Hosanna. Save us on, Lord.
They knew, but why did they stop? Why did they turn fickle into betrayal, shouting, “Crucify him”?
Why do we stop at times and turn our back on Jesus? When we become selfish, sinful, defiant, and rebellious.
Oh, His weeping grief, His love. Captured in His last week as a precious man with words of instruction, declaration, and announcements that would sustain not only His apostles but all of us in days much later. Me in my home now, laying down my palm branches and cloak. Crying, “Save me.”
But let us never stop shouting,
“Hosanna to the Son of David!
Matthew 21:9 NKJV
‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’
Hosanna in the highest!”
We walk with Jesus to the cross and witness our God in the flesh dying on the cross for our sins.
It is almost too much to bear. To be loved this much! But we know His promise as He rises out of the dark tomb into the glory of God, rolling stones, tearing the veil, shaking the earth, splitting mankind, and making way for us to follow into eternal life with Him.
Jesus is still risen, sitting at the right hand of the Father.
Bow our heads in reverence this Holy Week knowing the holy moment is now and forever.
