Although time can stand still or stretch – time in God’s timing is all we need to refresh and bring us peace. I will write and share a poem daily as part of April’s 30 days of poetry challenge. DAY 2: Write a poem about a time – God’s timing!

Time has a way of being

slipping

standing still

in and out

evasive

on the point

waiting

stretched

Time can make me

anxious

afraid

relaxed

or at peace

But what I do know

is that when

I step into

God’s timing

time becomes my friend

May 2023/Gratitude Gifts

A month of so much. From work to a friend's funeral to comfort in what Spring brings with promise, with hope, with dreams and resets and renewals, and with lots of rain. I am grateful for God's abundant blessings pouring down.

🌷Garden delights with a harvest of tomatoes, strawberries, lettuce, parsley, and oregano.

🌷Books I love - Exodus, Overlooked, Stuff I'd Only Tell God, A Book Of Luminous Things, the Hidden Prince.

🌷Flowers booming with electric green trees everywhere. Beyond my imagination.

🌷Backyard friends, the bunny, deer, cardinals, bees, and so many more.

🌷Husband, my love, our garden, the chef, he sure is precious.

🌷And food, yes a food fest of shrimp fajitas, dinner guests, and key lime dreams.

🌷A rainbow rises over my work site, good friends, new ones, sweet time - so grateful for the lovely ones in my life, in person, online. 💐

Friday Poetry - this one is called "Water."

Water

precious wonderful water

washes over me

sprays me

splashes me with salt

with soap suds

with food

with lemon fresh squeezed

with droplets in a pond

in a lake

in a river

an oasis

coming down from the sky

in rain and snow

coming up from the ground

a stream

a creek

a river

a lagoon

and ocean

and sea water

water

water

water

precious water

I am made up of water too

lovely H2O water

in the beginning

was the void of the Earth

where the Spirit hovered over

the face of the waters

and God divided the waters

God made the waters

God made us

we are water too

God gives us Living Water

we thirst for His water

found in His Word

I just love water

I am water

May flowers, rain, wind, and saying yes to being alive as the garden grows faster, better, and wilder than we could have imagined.

My husband and I have been by working and the garden is flourishing on its own.

However, this morning he mentioned he needed to get out there and do a little pruning. After all, he is our gardener.

When we are growing leaps and bounds into a new career, venture, or season we too need our Heavenly Gardner.

Grow as God rains his blessings over you, and his wind directs you, all the while nurturing and pruning you as he sees fit.

What do we do when we fall into the comparison tra

What do we do when we fall into the comparison trap? When our beauty compares, we fall down a rabbit hole God never intended us to enter.

Comparison is one of the problems that can occur when we live in a world perspective instead of through God’s lens.

God made each of us exceptional. And God has given us our unique purpose, so her purpose is not mine, and her blessing is not mine. And her getting something does not make me less, does not subtract. God does not have an abundance problem because he has no scarcity. Lack is not the economy of God. The economy of God has enough abundance for everyone.

Contentment is a choice. We can overcome our desire to compare ourselves to others by simply enjoying and embracing where God has placed us at this very moment. We trust in God’s ways even when we don’t know what he is doing. As we rid ourselves of comparisons, we cultivate our inner spiritual beauty, living for eternal beauty. We grow our godly beauty shining our light before men and glorifying our Father in heaven. Let our glow shine showing the beauty of God in our lives.
