– Blessed
Blessed under the umbrella as August days roll out on the shores of a precious beach.
Earlier that morning, through the 8th-floor window, we watched for the umbrellas to arrive.
A little after 9:00 am, my husband and I gathered our beach bags and headed down.
Blessed! I moved my chair into the shadow of the umbrella. Choice books and sunscreen lay on the little table between the lounge chairs. Blessed to enjoy delicious Almond butter sandwiches on homemade bread. Sipping on Lime La Croix as the day unfolds.
– Blessed in the Mist
I would later learn that the light mist in the air is Sahara dust which keeps the weather intact and lovely.
Soon the heat in the ’90s and the high humidity chased us into the refreshing ocean. Ripples of warm water mixed with cold water rush by. I float well in the salty water bobbing up and down. The gentle waves mixed with crashing surf.
Blessed Under the Umbrella!
To be here on the seaside, the sky blue and almost cloudless. A sunrise to celebrate the glory of God’s majesty. We are in the backyard of the gulls, pelicans, sea turtles, dolphins, and others. Blessed -yes, we are blessed.
Do you feel broken or scattered these days in the topsy-turvy world? Although there are many sorrows in the world, and sometimes, we think that we just cannot go on – there is comfort in the warm embrace of an ever-loving God. I encourage each of us to find God’s blessings wherever He places us – on a beach, in our homes, at work, or in an unknown season. Yes, God will be our anchor and compass during our journey throughout life, through the calm and through the storm. Rest in the peace that only Jesus can give you.
Sing Unto The Lord All The Earth!
Rest in the peace of Jesus:
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27)
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 1:2 (KJV)
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)
