So taking you behind some of the scenes.

This is the five of us meeting as we discussed our book launching into the world. Look at these smiles. This is love in doing the Lord’s work: Unexpected Blessings: 40 Days of Discovering God’s Best with Theresa Miller, Susan Davidson, Nichole Suvar, Traci Shnider, and myself, Deborah Rutherford.

In Spring of 2024 we formed a small Zoom-based writers’ mastermind to help each other learn and flourish. We began by exchanging writing and technical questions, sharing challenges and concerns, praying for one another, and celebrating successes.

Soon God led us to write Unexpected Blessings: 40 Days of Discovering God’s Best. We felt God calling us to comfort and encourage weary women like ourselves who needed to experience God’s blessings in their everyday lives.

We’ve been praying for you throughout this project and understanding your challenges. Our book turned out beautifully. In it you will find 40 prayers, scriptures, devotions, journal prompts, and lots of space to write. ?

Collaborating on this book with these authors has been an amazing experience. I can’t express how much I appreciate and love them; I know you will, too.

As I started writing my devotionals, my eyes opened and I started asking, “God, what are you doing in this situation? Is there a lesson here?” A precious nugget, a blessing, always existed.

Why 40 days? Unexpected Blessings: 40 Days of Discovering God’s Best provides a framework for spiritual growth through devotions, prayer, reflection, and journaling. We believe Lent is the perfect season for this book as we prepare for Easter. As we reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice, we recognize He is the greatest blessing that God has given us.

Unexpected Blessings: 40 Days of Discovering God’s Best debuts on February 26, 2025, so MARK your calendars. The E-book is available now.

This Lent come along with us on a 40-day discovery of blessings that we have and didn’t even realize. With prompts for journaling and prayer, your heart will be taken to a new level of gratitude for all that the Lord has done for you.

I am so overjoyed to receive my first Author’s proof. All glory to God because only He could orchestrate five writers from five different states to write a book together.
