Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV

Watch God paint gorgeous landscapes of your life when you turn over all anxiety, worries, and problems to Him.
God Paints Gorgeous Landscapes
At times, I struggle with balancing the good news with the bad news which brings on agitation and fear. For example, the other day, it was just beautiful outside, and I felt God all around me. What followed was an upsetting letter demanding my attention. Another time, it was early morning, and I was in the Word, feeling peace and joy when a jarring challenging work situation arrived. Then I was doing an invigorating workout and felt a slight pull in my back. Hmmm. The roll-in of actual life day-to-day issues begins taking their toll. Also on top of that are the big world problems that are rocking the well-being of our whole planet.
Sometimes everything is overwhelming, and I do feel frantic. Wherein my activities, hopes, and dreams seem disconnected. But then I go to God in Word and prayer. As I pray, God centers me. When I focus on God, my worries subside into tranquil manageable pieces of the puzzle that suddenly fit together to make a beautiful picture of the life God is painting for me. Gorgeous Landscapes.
What are you battling?
Do you need good news today? Are you overwhelmed by bad news? Do you feel the stress of burdens, problems, obligations, and daily demands building up?
Do you ever battle with anxiety? When sleepless nights seem endless? Do worries affect your health or how you will provide for your family? Are emails and text messages sabotaging your peace? Or is it the unknown that knots your stomach? Is your life out of balance?
God is not out of balance –
Before we allow dilapidating anxiety to shut us down, we need to go to God’s solutions to keep us afloat. The world is out of balance, and though it is, God is not. So, to protect ourselves from anxiety and stress popping up everywhere, we need to have a plan that leads us immediately to the protective covering of God. God provides a way to successfully navigate our lives in this unbalanced world. The following tips keep my eyes on God.
God Solutions to prevent anxiety:
- Focus on God. As we turn to God, we focus on God and not our problems. This allows God to work in our lives and brings needed peace. Therefore, watch your stress levels dissolve.
- God is in control. Above all, remember that no matter what is happening God is in control. To know this brings comfort that will calm you.
- Settle in with the Word. The Bible is our go-to place, our compass, map, and guide for all things.
When we struggle with anxiety, we can go to God who will give us the wisdom we need.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV
In Philippians 4:6-7, we learn God’s solution for our worries. God says to bring all of our prayers and requests to Him with thanksgiving. In return, God gives the peace of God which surpasses all understanding. This, in turn, guards your heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Be anxious for nothing.
- Meditate on scripture. Imprint scripture on your soul by pondering and memorizing scripture. Imagine being on the brink of a sleepless night, but then you recall, “Be anxious for nothing.” Yes, be anxious for nothing, for we have an almighty God that gives us peace.
- You are not alone. Realize you are not alone on this journey. That God is with you every step of the way.
It’s about Him –
When anxiety strikes, we have the power of God and His Word to aid us and lead us to victory. God provides a way to live successfully in this unbalanced world. Just think about how wonderful our planet, families, and churches will be as we turn our worries over to God, receiving His peace—walking joyfully, mastering our confrontations, and calm in the wake of bad news. When blocks of anxiety dissolve, our hearts flourish with compassion and kindness, for no longer is it about us; it’s about Him – Jesus and how we can best serve.

I appreciate how you worded this Deborah, ” I go to God in Word and prayer. As I pray, God centers me. When I focus on God, my worries subside into tranquil manageable pieces of the puzzle that suddenly fit together to make a beautiful picture.” God is so kind and gracious to give us peace in the midst of chaos.
