– Finding Peace in Jesus
It’s my birthday season! I am so grateful for God’s blessings. When leaves swirl I find peace in Jesus.
My wonderful husband started off the festivities with a bouquet of beautiful flowers and a hedgehog tea party card.

The aroma of the smoker filled the air. Soon the table filled with grilled scallops and grouper, asparagus, and hushpuppies. Topping off the celebration was strawberry shortcake.

We then adjourned to the back deck. It’s the most fantastic summer day. And you know summer is just coming to an end because you can see the fall each time a leaf swirl down. Likewise, when the temp is brisk, you feel autumn, but for now, it is still summer.
Jesus is Just Alright With Me
Full relishing is in order as the song “Jesus Is Just Alright with Me” plays on the Bose speakers. I learned some history of this cover song that the Doobie Brothers are nailing.
Arthur Reid Reynolds first recorded his gospel song with his group The Art Reynolds Singers, on their 1966 album, “Tellin’ It Like It Is”.
Yes, Jesus is alright with me and more than all right and I feel like shouting it to the heavens because it is the most glorious thing to know Jesus.
Finding Peace in a Chaotic World
A lot of people, and probably most people, are scared these days. And why shouldn’t we be? We live in a chaotic world!
But those of us who know Jesus have God’s promises and eternal life in heaven, bringing the peace and joy of Jesus.
Short-term vision keeps me trapped in this world searching for short-term solutions and goals.
I need to look at life through God’s lenses focusing on long-term vision. I am learning that though there may be troubles in the world that after this world, there is something so endearing.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33 Jesus of Nazareth
Believe it or not, Jesus is with you right now, knocking on your door.
So, take the long lens, long term, long goal to live – keeping our eyes focused on things above, on God, on eternal bliss.
As we finish the summer reflecting on our blessings, let us soberly and honestly love our God, family, country, and world. Knowing that together we will walk through this day finding comfort and joy in the peace that only Jesus can give.
When Leaves Swirl
When leaves swirl, we can find peace in Jesus. Look for God’s silver linings and blessings. On my special day, two magnificent rainbows came my way. One early in the day – a brilliant circle around the sun. A few hours later another appeared. Now that is special!
