May the grace of God touch our hearts today, because, with God, all things are possible. Turmoil and unrest rage like stormy seas. Fierce winds rip at the core of our being as enormous waves pound, and the salt of the sea is upon our lips.
Remember what Jesus said in Matthew 5:13, “You are the salt of the earth.” The full verse is “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.” Perhaps this is a great responsibility, to be the salt of earth, but again, with God, all things are possible.
Jesus said, “You are the salt of the earth”, and even in this dire storm, Jesus will protect and anchor us. Grasp our Savior’s hand as He walks with us through this tempestuous world. We can and will cry tears of sorrow and compassion for the evils of our time and times past. Together we can and will mourn those who do not want this precious gift. As we walk our Creator’s path, we may wonder why some chose the darkness of the storm over the promise of our Savior. We can hope to bring some with us to the fields of Heaven that lead to an eternal bliss of peace and joy with God.
Do not lose heart and do not fear for Jesus said, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world,” John 16:33 (KJV). So, let us citizens of heaven have the comfort of the Holy Spirit while here as citizens of the world. Permit ourselves to be the best that we can be on our journey to our everlasting home, working diligently to glorify God’s Kingdom in all that we do. We can bring love, beauty, peace, and our light, the light of Jesus, to tend to a hurting and needing world.
May the Holy Spirit fill us, and the blessing of God overspills to our family, friends, neighbors, and yes, our enemies. Pray for believers to be strong and in prayer for revival and for the hearts, eyes, and ears of non-believers to be opened to the grace of God. Pray for those in authority to fall to their knees and repent, as we also do, and lead with God in their hearts to an ever-watching world lifting Jesus Christ as the head of our nation and our world. Yes, I am saddened at the state of our nation and world, but the Spirit of the Lord, the HOPE of Jesus is shouting through every vein in my body. The joy of Jesus brings me comfort, peace, love, and joy. I am so grateful that we have God who is faithful, trusting, and who loves us dearly.
God is our true Authority. Let us stay in God’s Word, keep the faith, and allow God’s grace to flow through and over us. And yes, with God, all things are possible.
“But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible”. (Matthew 19:26)
