When we surrender our imperfect hearts, God makes them His perfect ones. Together, walking and dancing with Jesus, the One who loves us.

You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 NKJV
It’s Not About Being Perfect – God Wants Our Hearts
Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:37 NKJV
God redeems and restores. As we walk toward the Cross this season let us testify to God’s faithfulness and goodness in our lives.

But are you broken and scared, wondering if God can really help you? Or if He even wants you?
We, Christian women, need to experience the transformative power of Jesus. To know that we are redeemed and restored. Now, will we claim it? Also, will we forgive the past? It is imperative that we know God’s promises to help us on our victorious walk of sanctification.
You Can Have It Too –
Some years back, on vacation in Florida, my husband and I were at dinner with a friend and his new girlfriend. She leaned into me and said, “I really respect your faith.”
Surprised but happy for this opportunity to share Jesus, I said, you can have it too”.
She went on to explain that not her, After all the bad things she had done. I smiled gently and told her some of my story of all the really bad things, horrible things I have done. And God still wants me. I explained to her that God still wants her. And that’s the glorious part. It doesn’t matter where we have been, or what we have done, our heavenly Father is waiting for us to come home. He understands He soothes, He comforts, and He forgives.

Redemption –
A year later, on Easter Sunday, this beautiful young lady invited us to her baptism on the beach. She dipped into the cold ocean with a radiant smile. Now that’s how our God works.
It doesn’t mean life will be perfect. There are still struggles because it can be easy to fall back into temptation, and old ways, and it always will be till we get to heaven. But God doesn’t want us to be perfect, He just wants our hearts.

I have been severely wounded, scarred, and broken and I can testify that I am only alive because of Christ’s grace and love. The depression, self-harm, and emotional outbursts are no match for our Savior who will tame, heal, and guide us on our run toward the eternal crown.
It is not about trying to be good or perfect. It is about letting God work through you, and transform you into the daughter of God He made you to be.

Oh, Deborah how I love the thought that Jesus restores and redeems, and I know it well through my own brokenness. Thank you for sharing that beautiful story of the young lady who experienced that truth firsthand through YOU!!

SO beautiful my friend! I agree … we Christian women need to experience the transformative power of Jesus and to know that we are fully redeemed and restored. I love the story of your new friend in Florida who discovered she was also loved by our amazing God despite who she used to be or whatever she did. I can picture her baptism in the sea because our church did that in Destin also. Incredibly beautiful and edifying post Deborah! Blessings sweet sister … ????
Hi Donna, thank you ? I love how God works in our lives. This took place in Daytona. Since moving to Georgia, I have fallen in love with Florida. We have family and friends there too.

Traci, I love how God shines His love and all the wonderful things He does.

Yes, Lisa, we are so blessed! Thank you for reading and blessing me.
This statement was my favorite, “It is not about trying to be good or perfect. It is about letting God work through you, and transform you into the daughter of God He made you to be.”
