Who Am I Stirring Up? Do you find yourself getting stirred up and not in a holy way? Thankfully, there is grace for us in God’s holy courts.

It is so easy to get stirred up, especially when horrific events are happening all around us. When our hearts are tender, isn’t it? We are mourning as a people, and I do believe God wants us to mourn, but at the same time, to love each other.
What do we do when we find ourselves getting stirred up?
I needed a dose of God’s grace because I found myself getting all stirred up as I told the AT&T representative that she wasn’t very smart. Isn’t that terrible? I also found myself getting upset reading some Christian posts laced with profanity and writing that took God’s name in vain. At first, I put up a post pointing out that we should refrain from taking God’s name in vain and using profanity in our writing as Christians. Not that this is bad counsel, but what I found is that I was getting stirred up, and not in a holy way.
This was all too much for me to handle, so I took down the note, and I met with the Holy Spirit to see precisely what I was feeling, and if I should be saying anything, and to whom I should be saying it.
In His Holy Courts, I bowed down on my knees, and I found my answer in blessed repentance and the cleansing blood of Jesus. Thank goodness for God’s daily grace because we are called to be the salt and the light. Not to be right.
I want to be stirring up Jesus but I often fall short. What helps me is to ask, “Who am I stirring up? Am I stirring up Jesus or Satan?” I hope that helps you, too, if you find yourself getting drawn into conversations and places that first need the Holy Spirit’s healing, discernment, and guidance.
“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works…”
Hebrews 10:24 NKJV
I am so grateful and ever astounded that I am the daughter of the Most High God, welcomed in His Holy Courts. Thank you, God, for being so good to give us your daily grace. To guide us to be your salt and light, to stir up good works for your kingdom.

A Poem, A Prayer: Grace At Your Holy Courts
Grace, you give to me, my Lord, daily as I come to your Holy Courts, where I pour out my heart, sometimes tears, often joy, because how can I not be thankful for your daily grace?
Your grace rains down on me, holding me in the midnights, dancing with me throughout the days, all the days of life sustained with beautiful Grace.
Such mercy you have for a wretched sinner as myself. Who would be but wilted but for your Living Water that springs me to life in the new mercies of the early morning.
Oh, dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your tender, loving care and grace that I don’t deserve, but somehow you give to me.
No matter what, you say, “I love you. I’ve got you. You’re mine.”
And it is only by your grace that I can stand tall, bear the day and the nights, live another day, love, and give grace to myself and others, too.
Grace is the very fabric of divine love that tethers us to the Father. Something we can’t make or earn, nor can it be torn from us. This is the Father’s Holy Hand upon us, never to let us go. We are His.

Are you in need of God’s grace today? It’s overflowing and abundant, grace at His Holy Courts.

Great post! Very timely. I definitely need to remember to stop and ask the Holy Spirit what I am actually feeling, and then what, if anything, I shoolf do about it!
FYI, you have a strange typo-
“Grace is the very fabric of God’s divine love that tethers us to the Father. Something we can’t make or earn, nor can me torn from us…”
I think you meant to say: Something we can’t make or earn, nor CAN IT BE torn from us.
Thanks again for sharing with us, you are very encouraging!
Shoolf should be Should!!! Lol at my own typo/incorrect autocorrect. Lol!
Thank you Ana – I corrected. Thank you for reading. I find myself in the position a lot and so happy God comes along side us to encourage and teach us.
